At the very beginning of the video when he would stretch out one hand and then the other, it didn't seem like he was making it back to his bass in time to play as many notes as he was. I heard a steady progression of notes. They just didn't seem to match up.

Later though, it becomes more clear that he's playing.

In an odd way, that song sounds like very early Ska to me. Something you'd hear on an early Trojan record.

Bass player is probably coked up to the maximum though
