Right you are! Do you know Pascal, Remy, or Donny personally?

I've heard the twins play. My wife was in junior high orchestra with Don, but I've never met him either (I don't think they knew each other). I've seen his father play many times. I hope your gig goes well.

Hey Billy,
have a great show... can't make it tonight unfortunately, let us know how it went.

I've headlined at Dizzy's Club Pepsi-Cola with Eldar for one week straight last year, and I have nothing but good things to say about how the staff treated us... especially that one British-born waitress whose name I can't recall, she was really attentive and nice all the way, got me food when the kitchen was already closed, no NYC attitude at all... maybe because she was British? LOL, OK, that was a bad one, nobody take offense, please

The host Todd Barkan is an interesting fella who's been on the block for quite some time and who has produced gazillions of straight-ahead jazz recordings with most of the legends. It was cool to hear great jazz musician's anectodes from him on a nightly basis. He did vibe us a little for wanting monitors on stage, saying that the Bill Charlap trio hadn't used them the week before. We were like "Alright, hmm, sure!". He did look at me funny when I played electric bass on a few tunes. SACRILEGE!

As far as I am concerned, Dizzy's Club Cherry-Cola is the best sounding room in town. They really did an excellent job designing it. Heck, I may even decide to play without monitors on stage the next time I'm there.

That would've bothered me. You have thicker skin than me.
