Sweet. I dig Mark's playing a lot.

If anybody doesn't know the players, Benny sounds great, Mark sounds great, John Ellis DEFINITELY sounds great. If you can, make it.

Thanks Ed

Thanks Ed for the plug. it's a really great group. we are playing all orginals and some reharms of stuff. A lot of odd times infact we had a gig last night I realized we have 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4 and 11/4 - there is also some freeish stuff as well. we are recording album the next day that will be put out on the Brooklyn Jazz Undergound Label and we will have a Cd release in Feb. at the Jazz Standard but the smalls gigs are always fun cuz they are intimate. the stuff with John Ellis is tenor trio and if you havent heard George Schuller (son of Gunther and brother of the great bassist Ed Schuller) he is a totally killin drummer. If anybody makes it down to smalls please say hi!

George is a great player. I've seen him a number of times. Enjoy. I wish Chicago was closer.
