Regarding the youtube clip...

The amp/speaker was for the live sound on stage. What we are hearing in the youtube clip, and what the audience likely heard through FOH, was a multitrack mix down of the sounds coming in through the microphones. There is a microphone in between the bridge feet of the bass on that youtube clip. Pickup, amp, cabinet had almost nothing to do with the sound recorded for that clip. That sound is something like mic -> preamp/mixer -> multi-track recording -> later mix down -> stereo file -> sync with video -> distribution.

(Pickup also looks to be some kind of transducer, stuck on the bass top. They generally give a much more natural sound than do a piezo p/u on the bridge somewhere.)
