Hi all...

I must be a little bored, but also curious. Got this idea from a pianist friend of mine. Let's get a better idea what the market is like..

Here is what you do: reply either here, by PM, or directly to my email... stanhamrick@gmail.com... to the questions below.

I will collect the results and publish averages, highs and lows here. Obviously the more participants the better.

I realize there are many variables, but I am trying to keep it simple.

Here is the question: How much do you as an individual usually receive for:

1. Weeknight Club or Restaurant Gig
2. Weekend Club or Restaurant Gig
3. Weekday or Weeknight Corp. function background music gig
4. Weekend Corp. function background music gig
5. Wedding Reception
6. Festival or Party

If you wish, give highs, lows and averages. And add any editorials you wish. I will share if interesting or helpful....

2. Weekend Club or Restaurant Gig - $300-$400 for the band to split.
3. Weekday or Weeknight Corp. function background music gig - DJ's stole that from us.
4. Weekend Corp. function background music gig - DJ's stole that from us.
5. Wedding Reception - DJ's stole that from us.
6. Festival or Party - Festival = $100/man; Party = DJ's stole that from us.
