I suspect a "Secretary of Arts" would be just a lobbyist-controlled NEA executive in a Surgeon General's uniform, drawing a massive paycheck and doing nothing but proposing committees and studies that cost millions and don't get a single paintbrush into the hands of underprivileged kids. |

It's an opportunity to sign the petition or don't. I really don't give a **** about what you think.
I DID, Mr. bongo, put this very same thread up over on the bass guitar side.

Post a thread and then say "this isn't a discussion, I don't give a **** what you think". Next time you don't want anyone's opinion, don't post anything on a forum. And who cares what forum you double-posted in. |

Take your happy pills, chill out, and stop whining. Everybody has an opinion, and mine still stands.

Forcing artists and presenters to shore up the problems with our education system only leads to a reduction of quality in the work itself.
While I am in favor of arts education (by educational institutions) there is something to be said for supporting the artists we have before worrying about producing more!
