Talking Played my first gig...

My teacher was sitting in with a big band and invited me to sit in on a couple of tunes. He gave me some charts before hand to practice, since all the bass parts are written out.

So, we get to the gig and they pass out the set list. Of course, only one of the songs I've practiced is on there. He somehow talked me into sight reading a few (slow ) songs. I actually did okay.

It was a lot of fun playing with a big band. Sight reading unfamiliar music was a great experience. It also makes me realize how much I need to improve my reading!
