It appears that Joe Walsh's love child has too much time on his hands. I also looks as though Joe Morello's bass drum is the only thing in Dave Brubeck's band that has any effect whatsoever on a pointless tube of burning propane.
This is a classic. My neighbor teaches high school physics, and does this demo for his students. It reinforces the idea of standing waves in a way that's fun for the kids.
