Question about flying

So I hate flying on airplanes; always have. If it's a relatively short flight I'm cool, but I've got a 7 hour flight coming up in a few weeks that I'm dreading. Sleeping pills don't work on me believe it or not. My doctor has given me some sedatives that seem to help, but I'm still awake. I'm considering buying a small portable keyboard and headphones so at least I can play and keep my mind occupied. Anyone hate flying and have found some good methods of keeping your sanity?

I'm not really one to give advice on this since i've racked up nearly 500,000 frequent flier miles in my relatively short life, but I find anything that's stimulating on an intellectual level is great. Take your cd player and your Omibook and listen/read, that always keeps my mind occupied on flights. You could do some arranging...

unless the keyboard is one of those like foot and a half casio's it might be a bad call. Seasoned fliers usually try to take up as little space as possible because they assume there will be a degree of reciprocity from the other seasoned fliers...I really hate it when the guy in front of me drops his seat into my lap..
