Quiver Substitute

Sorry folks, but this is only going to work for people who play sitting down.

Two weeks ago I decided to ditch my quiver and attach a metal clothing hook to one of the legs of my stool. To put some padding on the hook, I bought some heat shrink tubing, cut off a little piece, heated it up, and voila, some cushioing. I positioned the hook perfectly so the screw would not touch the seat and the stick does not hit the side. I only have a little bit of the hair touching a rod.

It's been working great, and it's just as convenient as a quiver, only much cheaper (7 bucks compared to 30+)

I'll try to post pics of it in the near future.

Bow hook

I bought a small, plastic, spring loaded clamp from Home Hardware. I cut off the swivel ends that would clamp something flat. The curves of the arms are perfect for the shape of a Manhasset stand. Then I wrapped some electrical tape on the arms to protech the bow.

This also works well instead of putting the bow on the stand or through the bridge or in the F-hole when you want to do an extended pizz passage or write something on the music.
