Saint Baldred of the Bass

Well, such a guy exists. Google him. St Baldred was the first recorded inhabitant of the Bass Rock, wherever that is.

I vote that we adopt Saint Baldred as the patron saint of Bass players. We don't already have one, do we??

No I didn't think so.

So Saint Baldred it is then, yeah?

Domenico Dragonetti? Looks kinda wild.

Serge Koussevitzky? Ya gotta wonder about that label . . .

It's hard to picture "Saint Jimmy Blanton."

I've never heard anything about Scott LaFaro's personal life that would reflect on his qualifications.

The notion of "Saint Gary Karr" gets me grinning from ear to ear . . .

With all that in mind my vote goes for "Saint Jack the Bear." He leadeth me bethide the thtill waterth . . . Thy rod and lower thtaff, they comforteth me.

"Choosing a life of seclusion he lived in a cell off the Bass Rock and probably died there"

The only problem is that Bass Rock is pronounced like the fish.

Marcus,

You might want to find out in which direction your supposed to face while praying. Otherwise you might just have lots of hair growing on your back!
