Seattle Upright Bass Loan/Rental on 9/3/05

Calling all Seattle-based Forum Members!

My band - The Waybacks - has a late afternoon (4:45-6 pm) slot
at Bumbershoot on Monday Sept. 5. Does anybody have an upright
bass (or EUB) they'd be willing to loan or rent for a day?
Normally I'd have my Eminence EUB with me but I'm trying to
travel as light as possible on this trip.
I'd be able to pick it up from you sometime on Sunday 9/4 or
early on Monday 9/5. I've got to catch a flight out of SEA at
11 pm Monday night so I'd need to return it to you fairly soon
after the end of our set.

Thanks for your consideration.

Joe Kyle

Joe, you might want to change this bit on your web site to aid in your aquiring an instrument...

Ah yes...the biohazard. An excellent point you've raised, Sir.

I haven't destroyed a bass in over 7 years, and never have I destroyed a bass that belonged to anyone other than myself.

Maybe you could buy a Cremona just for this gig, and have people buy raffle tickets for a crack at guessing the exact time that you cause the bass to implode. Winner gets a night on the town with the Waybacks.
