| Self-promotion techniques, etc.
Hey, for one of my classes I have to submit a report based on self-promotion for musicians. Beyond that, it's just good to know, right?
Anyway, I just wanted to ask you guys here a few questions. For those who are working musicians, how to you handle self-promotion? You don't have to be a full-time player, just a gigging, working player -- semi-pros are fully welcome to comment as well, in addition to students, etc.
Personally, I have my own website (in my signature) and am considering getting a music page on MySpace.com. Back home when I was gigging we often relied on word of mouth/gigs to promote ourselves -- most gigs we played we ended up getting because of how we played on a previous gig.
