Shipping Upright to New Zealand

Greetings,

I am planing to ship my upright bass to NZ in November. I will be getting a container for other items, do you advise having an additional crate made for the bass?

Are there any foam molded cases on the market that would help?

Also do I need to worry about climate change etc?

Any other input would be greatly appreciated

Is it a very valuable bass? I'd be tempted to sell it here and buy another one there, but I understand why you might not want to do that. My bass came from Engelhardt in a cardboard shipping container with the bridge removed. I wonder if they'd be willing to sell you a box? You could then put the box in another container. In any case, good luck.

No it isn't too valuable, but replacing the bass in NZ I have heard would cost me around 3 times the amount I paid for it.
It is a fairly new czech plywood bass.
