The Slab Dilemma

I'm heading off to a university to study Jazz on Upright in the fall but I'm starting to feel worried that I may be losing my electric bass chops. I played electric exclusively for many years until I took up upright a year ago to get into school. Can anyone tell me how much Slab experience is usually gotten by an upright major at a state school? I know many people here on TB started on Electric like me, so how did you keep up with your EB chops?

Thanks,
David
