Subbing Last Minute as Principal- Pay?

Howdy!

The principal in an orchestra I play with was detained last minute and could not perform, so I as second chair stepped in. Should I expect principal pay for the concerts? In prior instances when I was planned to be principal and executed duties as such before the event, bowings and things, I was paid accordingly. I'm unsure how it should be in this case though...Thanks!

Of course. Talk to the personnel manager right away so the paperwork can be done accordingly and they won't give you the run around about pay cycles, or they don't have the money, etc.
