Super Slow Mo-Hi Speed Bass Video

Very interesting, watch the strings vibrate.

Nice. I've noticed the same effect if you stand in front of TV and play.

There's actually no slow motion applied to the video, the effect is caused by the digital camera scanning the image one line at a time from top to bottom. Normally this happens to fast that it isn't an issue but in this case the speed of that line-by-line scan matches up well with the motion of the bass string to create this effect. Super cool!

There's another video like it with an acoustic guitar here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/_f/3768...n/photostream/
I've often thought this would be a super cool effect to use in a music video.

I stand corrected fellow Seattlite. Thanks, we do agree that it is cool, however.

Way cool! I remember the first time I saw Maiken's 'E' string from behind against a CRT TV - WOW!
