Sweat when playing

Hi guys...
I started playing double bass a short time ago.. I find it wonderful..but i got a little problem.. when I play my hands sweat a lot.;/.
every day when I finish studying, my bass it's really really wet and this is bad even when I'm playing 'cause it's too slippery and I can't play normally..
Did anyone of you go through this? If yes, how did you overcome it?
Thanks

I sweat like a pig when I play; bass is a physical instrument. If its your hands in particular, you might contact your doctor pertaining to "hyperhydrosis".

Though the act of sweating is not specifically listed in the extremely long list of things that are not basses in the 3 stickies devoted to "if your post isn't about a bass, don't post it here" theme. I'm pretty sure that sweating is not a bass.

Wrong forum.

Wrong forum.
I think if the OP worded it like the sweat could damage the bass, or if it could cause build up, or if it effects the fingerboard, but this should be in the Misc. Forum, we aren't trying to troll just being helpful. Next time OP read the stickies before posting (these guys have told me plenty of times), but no big deal, just remember it for next time.

As for sweat its natural on stage with lights beaming down on you, physically moving while you play, nerves and adrenaline, to be sopping wet after a good show, but I've even had sweats when I would practice, this is for those long 4-6 hour practice, where your so immersed in your music you don't want to even touch the AC in lou of breaking consentration. If its natural just let it be, just remember to wipe down your strings and fingerboard maybe the back of the neck too, to reduce residue build up, and keep your bass (along with you) healthy and happy for a long time. Best of luck.

**edit**: who ever moved the thread, thanks, keep up the good work maintaining the forum.
