Chris - we will be in Louisville on Feb. 23rd and 24th. I'm looking forward to it a lot - according to my teacher Rufus is going to be there!

PKR - I'd have to agree with Rablack and co: I think that the balance down here is fine; plenty of educational stuff, but also lots of great - and very dry (sans laughtrack) - humor. It may be the age thing, or it may be a certain kind of "jazz cynicism" which grows out of playing too many ridiculous gigs (now, THERE'S a topic for an interesting thread...too bad there's not a "DB Psychology" topic), but I personally find the humor here to be right on the money. You know, obnoxious, but in a friendly kind of way...I wonder if I would be able to converse with a person who didn't find a lot of the stuff that goes on around here funny. As you well know, being the author of the by-now-infamous "How do you like me now?" post which had me and many others laughing so hard that our eyes watered profusely...I wouldn't have it any other way!

In their own special way, isn't every gig somehow ridiculous? Or is it something I take to each of those gigs?

Thanks David, that's what I would have said, had I thought of it. LOL

Chris, I really think that all of us are pretty much agreeing. Just in different ways.

Please, PLEASE, don't keep mentioning the tirade between Ed and myself. Every time I respond I'm just giving Ed more ammo. Do you remember when I suggested to Ed that what you say on this board may bite you on the butt? I keep getting the feeling that I'm gonna end up sore in a place that the sun don't shine.

Ed, I like your goatee and your ponytail too. Although you are dressed kind of funny in the picture. Probably has something to do with the Japanese culture. LOL

Jesus H. Christ, Man! What´s that four-legged monster hanging upon the wall? Are you playing regularly in the Addams Family Mansion Weekend Danceband????

That's no monster. It's the good halves of two women combined into a single package.
