I still run into acronyms or terms that puzzle me. Maybe this will save some other newbies a bit of time.
UB, URB - upright bass (of course)
EUB - electric upright bass - instruments that use upright length strings and sound (sort of) like an upright but do not have the full upright body. As a result, they must be amplified
EA - Euphonic Audio (audio equipment mfg.)
AI - Acoustic Image (audio equipment mfg.)
GK - Gallien-Krueger (audio equipment mfg.)
Berg, Bergy - Bergantino (audio equipment mfg.)
Pre - Preamp - often used for impedance matching rather than equalization
FOH - Front of House - the venue's PA/amplification system
Acme - Acme Ltd. (audio equipment mfg.)
SPL - Sound Pressure Level - measure of the loudness of a cab for a given level of input
Bob - If you see a reference to "Bob" and the context is UB equipment of some sort it probably refers to Bob Gollihur who runs an e-business providing URB equipment. Bob is a talkbass member who chimes in from time to time
Wizzy - Cab with a whizzer cone instead of a tweeter. Generally refers to Euphonic Audio equipment that uses this technology
mline, M-line - A Euphonic Audio cab that uses the wizzy technology - but not visible on the EA web site. Look at Bob Gollihur's site
HPF - high pass filter
HPF-pre, fdeck-pre - One of the talkbass members sells a preamp with a HPF that is well
thought of. See here:

I'm sure there's lots more that I'm not remembering off the top of my head.
