Debuted the show tonight and it went pretty well, with a few things to work on. These Cabaret guys are pretty loose with the time, which presents some challenges, but my ears will get a good workout!

It will be a good exercise in using my ears. Offends my jazz sensibilities a bit, but I'll look at it as an opportunity to practice listening. I haven't had this good of a listening audience ... well ever .. and I've never played with a more appreciative band.

I did a show once with Nora Dunn of SNL fame and she played Elizabeth Taylor. There was a male singer too. I can't recall his name. Anyway. 2 shows. No rehearsal. 12 page sheet music with crazy ass page turns. No drum charts. Dramatic pauses galore. Time was all over the place. Pretty much a nightmare.
