UK trip suggestions

We've got a week of gigs in England through the last week of March. Our gigs are in/around The Wirral, Westhoughton and Cumbria.
We will be traveling between shows by car, with Tues 3/27 and Sun 4/1 off.
It will all be new to me, but besides the usual touristy stuff like sheep, castles and stout (yum..) what sights/sounds would I be remiss to not experience?
I do have an affinity for old bikes.. I own a '57 Ariel FH..

Hey - Glad to have you in the Club...I'd thought I was Maine's only UK touring bassist. Shows how much I know. I don't have any advice for you on those places, but something my band did that everyone really enjoyed was to go somewhere where you can get a real "proper English breakfast". We had friends who lived locally and took us to a really great place but I am sure there are many, many spots for you to indulge in this phenomenon. There is nothing quite like a proper English breakfast, especially if you haven't had it/been before.

Have an amazing time..I was there almost exactly a year ago and can't wait to go back. When I win a bazillion dollars from publisher's clearing house, I'm totally moving to the UK.
I'm only getting as far as TN/PA/NC/NJ this time around. And leaving in two days, eeek!

Latcho drom.
