Unintentionally quoting a really bad song

I'm playing with some friends yesterday afternoon and during a solo on Nardis I unintentionally quote The Cow Song as sung by Dainty June and Her Farmboys in the musical Gypsy (that I'm working eight shows a week). I just about stopped playing I was so surprised and disgusted.
Maybe I shouldn'ta read all that Kenny Werner crap about "the space" and unpremeditated playing.....

Tenor player I know, Bob Keller, was working LION KING and he said that was the worst thing about working a pit, that "you just can't get that damned music out of your head!!!!"

I was playing in the pit for J-J-J-Joseph & the hypercolor sportcoat last month. I have an affliction where I get 2 lines of a chorus constantly repeating in my head. Terrible.

That happens to me every time I do a pit band for a show. I usually go out of my way to listen to fresh stuff during the day to counteract the effect, but it still takes awhile to scrape show music off the roof of my brain. Maybe it's because as primarily a jazz musician, my mind isn't used to hearing and performing the same thing day after day. I experienced the same effect for a couple of days following a recent tour with a popular singer.
