| Upcoming salsa gig, could use some advice Played a good amount of salsa at Humber, but it's been a while and I got a call for a gig -- really want to play my ass off, could turn into a lot of playing opportunities.
Setlist:
1. Cuando Te Vea
2. Timbalero
3. Bien Sabroso
4. Mi Tierra
5. Brujeria
6. Nada Como Ella
7. Este Son
8. Carnavale
Any particularly seminal recordings or clips would be really helpful. As well any words on salsa bass playing in general, good gig stories, whathaveyou.
As well, "Nadie Como Ella" has a bass solo -- never soloed in salsa (or any latin/afro-cuban) music before, could definitely use a couple of recorded reference points.
