Upcoming salsa gig, could use some advice

Played a good amount of salsa at Humber, but it's been a while and I got a call for a gig -- really want to play my ass off, could turn into a lot of playing opportunities.

Setlist:
1. Cuando Te Vea
2. Timbalero
3. Bien Sabroso
4. Mi Tierra
5. Brujeria
6. Nada Como Ella
7. Este Son
8. Carnavale

Any particularly seminal recordings or clips would be really helpful. As well any words on salsa bass playing in general, good gig stories, whathaveyou.

As well, "Nadie Como Ella" has a bass solo -- never soloed in salsa (or any latin/afro-cuban) music before, could definitely use a couple of recorded reference points.

The solo is Nadie Como Ella is just an unaccompanied slap line. What tumbao you play, make sure it meshes with the piano, particularly on Cuando Te Vea where the clave changes in the middle of the song. I think most of those tunes can be youtubed.

Appreciate the tips. Imeemed and youtubed all of them, really digging Nadie Como Ella and Brujeria.

Hopefully my drummer roommate can help me prepare for this one. Guess the bandleader wants all DB so I'll try to adapt the slap line and see how that sounds.
