When I am Not Playing...

Is it ok to leave my bass standing up on its' pin in a corner against the wall?

Or is it better to be left on the side?

I ask because my bass area is not so large (I do not own a stand yet).

Thanks,
erik

The best place to keep your bass is where it is least likely to get knocked over.

After having my cat attempt suicide by knocking over my bass while it was standing in a corner, I have reached a compromise - I now have a large hook driven into the corner at about the level of the heel of the bass when the pin is out. The bass goes into the corner, face out and shoulders touching the wall, and gets secured by a bungie cord of appropriate length. No further incidents so far.
