I attended the
XXI Jornadas Musicales, a summer course in Granada with Jorge Muñoz Martín, a nice guy who studied with Ludwig Streicher and Gary Karr, now teaching at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga. They lend me a db for free. The course took place in the Real Colegio Mayor de San Bartolomé y Santiago, a beautifull renaissance styled college in the heart of Granada. Here are some pics: a view of the patio from third floor. It was covered with a store during the day to try to keep things cool. The shade was removed at night, when the students concerts were held (Jorge gave us a moving rendition of Botessini's Elegy). The hallway where the bassists rooms are located has been named
pasillo del Contrabajo (DB alley). Cool! I had a ball.
