I did a session this summer that i wasn't particularly proud to be a part of.... but it paid really well. (I'm assuming most of you have been there..) I asked for an alias to be used in the album credits, however i just got the CD and there it is, the name that appears on my birth certificate. haha.
Anyone ever do something like this? (if someone coughs up a funny story about the session i'll tell mine)

| | | Many times I have found it crucial to use an alias on sessions and on gigs.
I think it's best never to let her have my real name or phone number. Less hassle with the wife that way.
I'll be here all week. Try the veal. |

When someone calls the hotel, they won't get through unless they know the name he's registered under.
The hotel employees don't divulge the fact that he's staying there because his name isn't ever input in the hotel's computer system (reservations are made under the name of his label, manager, etc.).
Although he's not a drummer, the last time he was in town, he told me to call his hotel and ask for "Perry Diddle." |

Scales and Modes were devised largely by Bach, who was a well-known alcoholic, and besides, I actually played MOST if not ALL of Bach's recorded Basslines. Yet not a penny of mailbox money. I"m calling Bach's agent. |

I have used a number of one shot pseudonyms in the past to mess with MCs who know me at local open mics. |
