I've been really into Rene Marie lately. "Live at the Jazz Standard" is one of my favorites right now.

Admittedly a little biased, but Champian Fulton with Dennis Irwin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1L-GEiC3L4&feature=user

I would love to hear her new trio with Neal Miner and Fukushi Tainaka. I understand they are going to record soon.

A Brazilian friend turned me on to Bebel Gilberto not long ago. She does mainly Brazilian music as well as a few standards.

Thanks Marc for posting the link of Rob & Kurt. I'm listening to that CD now.

Just picked up Tierney Sutton's Blue in Green. Gorgeous... wow.

She sat in with Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth last night during the first set. David Wong told me and pointed her out to me. Too bad i came for the set after...

Anne Hampton Callaway is a fantastic singer, musician and entertainer.

I have had the great pleasure of recording and playing a concert w/her and the Johnny Rodgers Band and I was knocked out both times. In the studio her vocal power is such that the sound of her voice seems to eminate from her entire self, not just her mouth. At a concert in LA she sang a scat break on 'Blues In The Night' and I got such goosebumps I almost couldn't play.

She also had the audience in the palm of her hand w/ her clever and hilarious banter.

A true great.

Several years back I had the pleasure of doing some gigs with Anne and her sister Liz. They called their act "Sibling Revelry". Two outstanding singer/musicians, and funny too! I quickly discovered not to try to drink with Anne, and not to bet against Liz at the ping-pong table.

Hey, anybody heard Abigail Riccards? Beautiful voice!

Has everyone forgotten about Sheila Jordan? She did great work in a duo with Harvie Swartz. And let's not forget Bob Dorough and his long time bassist, the late, under appreciated Bill Takas.
