Zappa Plays Zappa

Saw them last night in Buffalo. Amazing show, great players all over that stage, a Zappa fan's ideal of what a Return of the Son of Frank Zappa tour should be like. Good golly they were tight.

You'll love it, it's a way of life!

Here's the schedule:

Saw them yesterday in Montreal! Almost 3 1/2 hours of pure delight. Great band, perfect execution but, mainly, fantastic music.

With leather?

A student of mine got his tickets the day they went on sale, and they sold out pretty quick. Good to know that this show is the real deal, and not just a chromium leg...

Little wires, pliers, & tires! Seriously though, if you're a Zappa fan it's a downright moving experience.

I was fortunate to see Frank on his last tour at the Auditorium Theater here in Chicago. Sting was in the audience and came up in the second half of the show and did "Murder by Numbers" over the band playing "Stolen Moments". It was a great show and totally spontaneous.

Toronto show

I caught the Toronto show earlier this summer. Napolean murphy Brock wasn't there, but it was a stellar show. Worth every penny.

My ears are still ringing from last night's performance in St. Louis.

What an amazing musical monster! Dweezil does a great job presiding over the whole affair!

I was thinking that playing in that show would be both the most amazingly fun and amazingly complicated gig you could get! Those pieces are just warped - I like it!

...and can be found on Broadway the Hard Way. Awesome disc. I've loved Stolen Moments ever since.

I missed them in Prov. Yikes!

Frank was a musical genius. I am glad to know that
Dweezil is doing justice to his legacy.

I did catch FZ years ago at the Music Hall in Boston,
now known as the Wang Center (I think Frank would
have had fun with that). The opening act was
Chuck Berry. Great, great show.

Above poster mentioned Project Object. Their show
came through RI 2 years ago with Napolean Murphy Brock
and Don Preston. That was a wonderful show, if you like
'Going to Montana Soon'.

Caught the show in Houston last night - not one speck of cereal. Or disappointment. Definitely worth the price of admission!

I'm sure I'm not the only person here who reads threads like this and thinks:

I MISS FRANK!
