Seriously, does anyone actually know what they are for?
Some very funny comments in the thread and some great creative reviews on the Amazon site, but the fact remains, these are real
cables and leads and more than one company makes them and they're still in business, so quite a few people must be using them, and paying for them!
I see one of them is silver core rather than copper, so that adds evidence they may be specially engineered for some specific application. That, in turn, suggests that it isn't simply for taking power from a wall socket to an amp. I'm guessing they may be for a "filtered" clean power supply for high end medical/research type equipment, maybe?
I'd buy one to find out, but it's got the wrong plug for UK
