Sad, sad lads they are.
Oh, and with the "more attention to the lead guitarist". Umm.. that's kinda not true in my band. The bois, they luves me. And the drummer. Yeah. Can't forget the drummer.

- So much pressure is put on you to improv a good bass line.
- Heavier amps.
- More powerful amps are needed to be heard.
- You get ignored(which, from the places we play, is probably a good thing) |

Everyone expects more from a first time improv when you have no clue what chord the guitarist is playing.
You have to weasel chords out of guitarists.
You have to protect the drummer.
If you're going to play with variation you gotta make sure it sounds good.
Everyone thinks its easy playing bass.
Heavy everything.
Fingers actually begin to hurt after a while.
You hold everyone together, whether it be in the band or out of the band.
And in my case, you smell, look, and taste? the worst. |

usual, it sucks to be a bass player because the only one sit down is the drummer ....

| | | | I've realized that most people are just stupid about bass and how 'easy' it is and stuff. Of course I don't know anything really good to try to shock them with...

| | | 1: always getting mobbed by women
2: being let down by lesser musicians constantly (ie, drummers, guitarists.....does vocals count?)
3: extra facial hair due to excessive virility.
i think thats enough reasons for now.
I dont think i can deal with the pressure of being a bassist anymore..... |

he puts all his change, keys, phone, WATER BOTTLES and other junk on there.
i steal his change and put the rest on the floor.
AND THEN
the guitarists decide since i set up the fastest i should help them.
