True story: I know someone who uses unwanted bass strings in their "whipper-snipper" weed cutter to cut weeds with (a "whipper-snipper" is a gardening tool that has a propeller at the end of a long pole which usually uses a plastic string that spins around to cut weeds).

Don't stand too close to this guy when he is gardening, or else you lose your feet.

If you go with something larger than an E, like B or F#, you can probably use it to cut down small trees.

Also, carry short segments of F#, like 1 or 2 inches. Use them a fuse replacments. I don't know what kind of amperage they will carry, though.
