Thumbs up 1st Gig. Couldn't have done it without you.

It's been a week this day since the band's 1st official show. I'm still get exuberant thinking about it. I'm just over the 2yr anniversary of buying my 1st bass (thank you 30th-onset-of-midlife-crisis-birthday). I really didn't even play the bass but for a few hours before the first practice with the band in May of last year. Long story short. The show went MUCH better than expected, it wasn't perfect, but it was a mile away from being a train wreck. The crowd really enjoyed the music (not so much the stage show, 3 of our 4 members never played an formal live gig). I wanted to thank all you TB'ers from the bottom of my heard (yes, even the ones that have flamed me for no reason, or slammed me for my ignorance ). If it wouldn't been for you fine (and not so fine) folks here on TB I would have never EVER pulled that show off as nearly as well as I did. So from the bottom of my low end heart.

THANK YOU!!!!!

That's awesome! Glad to hear it went well.

Now all you need is another gig....and another...and another...

Just got a notice for the State Athletic Commission that our "Black Friday" (Oct. 13th) which was going to be featuring live mma fighting will be shut down if we hold it. Like our singer says "I'd rather be infamous than famous".

Belated Congratulations

A bit of a late congrats .... funny that your bass crisis hit on your 30th - mine hit this year (my 33rd). I played bass in high school, but hadn't touched one in 15+ years.

Again, congrats ... hope to do my own show with a band some point soon.
