Well this aint really a gig but its performing infront of people. Today we played get free by the vines at the schools talent quest. WE WERE SO PUMPED. Got on stage ppl shouting our names n stuff. SO DAMN HAPPY. Bass amp works fine, drums fine, singing fine, ....till...the guitar.....NOT FINE.
The band before us blew the amplifer up! So it had no distortion and the volume cod only be heard at volume 2. SO WE PLAYEED WITH JUST : Bass, Drums, Singing and a guitar u cod barely hear. GET FREE ISNT GOOD WIFOUT GUITAR. God....people understood what was wrong but it got the wrong impression on the people that dont know technical stuff.
So we got screwed. It was terrible. Got a sympathy clap.
But i feel terrible....juts ruined..
Cheers, Ben.

And don't feel bad, it wasn't your fault you guys may have sounded bad. If you ever find yourself in a situation like that again, I find it's best just to keep the energy up. You may not "feel into it" but the crowd will totally dig it, man!
good luck!

It's a form of autism, and it's gotten pretty bad to my understanding (to the point that he's pretty much not gonna perform any small shows anymore and only the occasional big festival or something like that) |

The big issue is that you finished the tune, that's a level of professionalism that many young cats don't have. Be proud of that, and take the lesson learned .... next time, arrange for some back-up gear .... |

But if that had been infront of a lot of pepole he would of pulled out a hillbilly solo like he usually does
but its not reasurring when pepole do that as other daft things of them stopping if the disto didnt switch on

Wait until you are playing a paid show, backing up a touring band, have hundreds of people who paid door to get in.
Last weekend we had a show at one of the premier midsized venues out here, with a touring band and a long time heavy weight in our scene. We spent weeks promoting the show. I got arrested on my way to the venue. They played with no bass, and still put on a heck of a show.
