Hello everyone.

My name is Bret and this is my first post of hopefully many. I used to browse around on here about a year ago and post random comments under kenworth but I have now changed my account to DICEAHOLIC. I have been playing bass for a good four years now and have recinly found my love for it once again. With graduating from high school and just the "shock of the real world" I seemed to have lost my passion. I was going through my video collections the other night and it got me pumped and thinking that I should put something together. I'm now in a band again, Shutter, a band that has quit a bit of success in the Calgary area over the past 7 years. I joined last year in September but it was short lived as things feel apart in July of last year. We are now back together with a different view and much more motivation. In the year off me and my guitarist Devin have wrote about five songs and have also worked on schooling options and of course have kept a full time job. I understand that this is work and not just for fun anymore. This is truly my dream and I want to make it.

Recently I have taken bass lesions. Something I should have started four years ago. I have been self tough until this year with only help from guitar pro, random bass players I had meet at bars, you tube and my band mates. With just 2 months of teachings I understand and love the bass just that much more. This is a very exciting time for me.

This video I'm posting is not to brag or show off. Its simply just to share my favorite moments as a pass player. I live for the live moments and I also am a attention hog. I know I look like a fool in some footage and also I understand that I may pose some times. I could really give a ****. Its a part of growing up and understanding what music really does for me.

The footage you see its a combination of everything I have tried and attempted with a bass. One day I woke up and hurd local DJ play "Long way to the Top" ACDC and how he commented on the fact a cover band really ever plays this because the lack of a bag pipe. Well I got excited, earilyer that week I saw a fellow class mate play his bagpipe at a school event. It was on! I was going to make this happen. Two months later at the winter ball we played with him. I have always tried using the talent around me. I grow up in a small town and its hard to find anyone who even give a **** about live music or performing. Its a very hick town.

Any ways sit back and ejoy. I hope you guys like this. I through this together in about an hour last ngiht just to get my self motivated.

Please do not hesitate to create one your self. Post it on here or make an official trend.

p.s. The song you year when the videos are not playing is a sing we have wrote in the past year.

Lots of love

Bret
