Sometimes after a gig I would just love to have a couple of beers and hang out. But the reality is it is long past last call, so I go home and have one beer to wind down.
What do you do after the gig? Any sort of post-gig rituals? |

Now a days I take Tramadol and Lyrica 20 mins before I stop playing. Then I have my Bros help me pack then load up. I stop and punish myself at Taco Bell with some nasty crap they call food and then continue limping home. At home I shower, sit in my favorite chair and watch a lil TV. I remember when I used to work 5 to 6 nites a week for an awfull long time. I remember when I was 17 that my pay then is what I made this nite. That alone should make me stop but I do love to play my instrument with my Bros. I don't need the money and I don't have that many principals anymore so its all good. Except the Taco Bell in the morning hahahaha!!! I've been working in music for 50 years this passed Sept. damn thats alright. Doc |

| | | | Yup, the money today is about the same as the money in the '70's.
After a gig, eating is a good idea. But I recommend eating FOOD, which is not available at Taco Bell. Breakfast is the ticket. |

Back in blighty though, I'm a permanent driver for the band. When I get home it's normally a beer, some tv and then bed.

The ride home after a good show is one of my favorite parts of the whole thing. Luckily though, tonights show was just a few miles from my house. If I'm riding alone I have trouble staying awake. |

Pack up, have a few beers with the other bands / bar staff / any pretty ladies. Then head to the hotel and saw the few available logs.
Local shows:
Same as above except replace "hotel" with "my brother's couch." | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
