From a hip-hop forum I sometimes post at, somebody asked about good free ways to promote your music and got this brilliant suggestion:
"Have a couple of people you know talk about wild gun play and then throw hands and have your music playing in the background and send it to worldstar."
Ha, genius!

Talk about wild gun play and then throw hands? | Basically: film a fake violent argument between some people, send it to a site that loves to publish that kind of stuff, and "coincidentally" happen to have one of your songs playing in the background.
It's funny because you know this could actually work.

It's funny because you know this could actually work. | Ive got a feeling that would do absolutely nothing to promote ones music other than just "putting it out there".

Unless you do that, no one is going to know who the band is or what song is playing, and without that, its not really promotion, just putting a song out the for others to listen to.

I think 'll pitch this to the guys tonight. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
