Another great craigslist ad...

Sign in to disble this ad
This time it is a blues guitarist that seems to put a lot of emphasis on having very specific gear...

The bass player needs to have a Fender bass built BEFORE 1965 with no ceramic tone caps ( I will have my tech at auditions to open up and check) must use all tube amplifiers pre-1980, with an 8x10 cabinet.....

The ad is obviously a "piss-take" mocking serious ads from people with ridiculous requirements. But it is very funny!!

If it is a "spoof" ad, it is very convincingly real. It looks real to me, very arrogant, but real....

I seem to attract a lot of self proclaimed virtuoso's and tone freaks, I think I met this guy or his twin brother.

I will have my fist at auditions to sock your nose!

Too funny. I'm sure it's a spoof, but it's not too far off from a couple of clowns I've run across in my time.

That... was... beautiful...

I'd be interested in playing with that cat, but only if the conchos on his hatband came from a 93 year old Navajo shaman and had been aged in fermented peyote for 7 years, then were sold to a voodoo queen and stolen by a 7th son.
Only then - I'm really tired of dealing with wannabe's...

What a douche. I'll bet he can't play worth a damn either.

When I'm putting together a group I'm luck to find people that have their own amp and a car.
