Friday night- second rehearsal w/a new gig, *fairly* quiet. Grumpy/frumpy neighbor lady- who called the cops last week(different band, LOUD/late)leaves me a message: 'Can you stop at 9?' It was after 9 at this point, so I called her right back, said we'll be done at 10- the law's cutoff point. So we're finishing up, precisely at 10, someone requests one more & The Queen says, 'It'll take the cops at least 5 minutes to get here. Play the song!'

I've taken to inviting people over to hang during practices, making them more *GTG* than rehearsal, & giving us a little taste of playing for a crowd; that crowd is often 90% her peeps, so ain't nobody telling HER to shutup!

It's in a rural area and pretty much all of the community liked listening to us. People would often drop by to watch us practice. A new couple moved there & began complaining about the noise level. The community eventually pestered them until they moved out of the neighborhood.

Also, in the interest of remaining on The Queen's *A* list, you will very likely NEVER see a picture of her here. She does come to most of my gigs...

The very first time we tried practicing at my parents garage (~25years ago) our neighbor called the cops just watching us load in. sheesh..tough crowd!
