Another testament to the guitarist...

My Buddy is a fairly educated, and decently skilled guitarist. So I thought...

Text conversation:
Me: "The V has a Floyd Rose too, the Omen 6 doesn't."
Him: "I have no idea what that does."
Me: "It's a trem.*"
Him: "I have no idea what that does."
Me: "WOW. It does what the whammy bar in Guitar Hero does."
Him: "So it's just a whammy bar?"
Me: "It changes the pitch of the strings, so, for example, you can be Eddie Van Halen."
Him: "But I'm not Van Halen."
Me: "So do you get what it does?"
Him: "It changes the pitch of the strings. I dunno, when I get it I'll mess with it and try to figure out how it works."

He also smashed a 70s Univox Strat because he was bored.

*Technically vibrato, I know.

We know more things concerning a guitar than most guitarists do.
FACT!

Note "so I thought..."

He plays well, and he has a good grasp of theory (moreso than me), but jeez, this was a complete turnover.

I flipped out on him.

He had the neck (maple fretboard, mmmm....) hanging above his door. I was going to take it (maple fretboard, mmmm....), but he ruined the holes for the neck screws, and busted off some pretty huge pieces of the neck block. Laquer also chipped off, taking most of the Univox logo with it.

Ugh.

The only Univox I have is a 100 watt MiniMax bass amp. Paid $15, things broken, in like, 40 ways, though. Turns on and looks cool, at least.
