I auditioned for a new band last Saturday, got the spot last Sunday, have learned an entire set of original songs during the week, and will play a show with them on Friday the 13th.

What could go wrong with that situation? AWESOME SHOW, guaranteed. No luck necessary.

Also playing with a cover band on Saturday, and with a second originals band on Monday. This is the most rock star weekend I've had in awhile.

We DID gig yesterday...in the middle of nowhere - there were actally a few people there and we got offered a possible festival gig from a promoter on the strength of a single gig!

The gig was great but I caused 2 massive feedback squeals before hand. Everyone was really pissed at me.

I walk through the back door of the coffeeshop, and the first words spoken to me was "drinks are on the house for the band." Bloodshed was avoided.

Yesterday's gig was epic, and has led to a Friday night residency at the club for the foreseeable future.

I did, and it was the worst performance I have ever been a part of. Still pissed thinking about it.

is spot on, color wise. Now.... let me think what kind of bass made it to the gig. Oh, I remember!!!! It was a cork wood bass, with 4 1/2 strings, [(a+b)/c] " scale length tuned to X2 - Z6. :

We played a gig Friday night. There was an inordinate number of seriously drunk wankers stumbling around the place, I mean it was scary. And the owner, trying to be funny I suppose, put a ladder over one of the entrances so everyone who came in that way walked under it. Unbelievably, nothing bad happened, we played a good 3 sets and received a lot of love.

Funny, or it wasn't, as long as it was Friday the 13th, things were happening, and they weren't good, then after midnight we kicked ass. Go figure.

The first gig of my band was this friday 13th. I'm not supersticious at all, but I was somehow afraid of other factors that might put the gig at risk. it actually went pretty well.
