I played a gig not long after attending my first NAMM show. I was proudly sporting my newly aquired Bass Player magazine t-shirt, worn under a rather sporty leather jacket. After the show, the owner of the club came up to me with tears in his eyes, laughing. He pointed to my shirt, and observed that the jacked covered the 'B' and the 'P', making it read "Ass Layer."

*sigh*

I may even have a photo from that gig. If I find it, I'll post it here.

"IT IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE"

Funny, I did that to a teacher I work with ( that I don't particularly like) for shock value, once. End of the school year and I had a new copy of BP. The teacher asked what I was reading and I covered up the B and P with my hand and told her " its the newest issue of my gay porn magazine, why do you ask?" Needless to say she shut up pretty quickly.

Visualizing this, I don't see how the "P" would be covered up by your jacket? If your jacket covered the "P", wouldn't the whole word "Player" be covered?

Realistically, the "B" from Bass be covered by one side of your jacket and the "r" from Player be covered by the other side. So you'd have "ass Playe", which may be even funnier.

Good story anyways.

The Photo

This is taken from a poor angle, but I think you can get the idea:

This was 8 years ago, btw.
