| Auctioneer hogs the show...

Yep, we did a gig with a silent auciton and Live auction last night.
The live auction started about a half hour late, and ran about an
hour long! We were supposed to play from 9-11 and we ended up
playing from 10-11. The worst part is, a lot of people were there
specifically to see us as we're almost done as a band, and it was
billed as "one of your last chances to see them before they retire".
The auctioneer had a very nasally, abrasive voice(probably good
for an auctioneer), and people were asking us if there was anything
we could do about the sound(make it a little more bassy, etc.).
Anyway, it was all for helping out an organization that reaches out
to abused children so the more money they could raise the better,
but we felt a little bad that our show ended up being cut so short.
Moral of the story is: when sharing a gig with an aucioneer,
always get the live auction started ON TIME!
Another benefit tonight, but hopefully much different results
stagetime-wise.
