Talking Band audition - awesome!

Sign in to disble this ad
I had a band audition earlier today, and I've already been accepted into the band. I was plenty nervous since the drummer and guitarist are seasoned rock warriors who have been playing for over 10 years, as compared to my feeble 1. After a half hour of jamming, the drummer straight up said "We have our new bassist."

SCORE!

I also got accepted into a new band today ha. I was pretty much accepted after the first jam session but we didnt do so well since the guitarist ate some bad fast food and would have to stop in mid song to go run to the bathroom ha. But today we had about a 7 to 8 hour jam session with almost no breaks. I have all their original songs down and played quite a few covers but it was a great day. congrats on your band btw

The lead guitarist kept having issues with his sound, so he took a smoke break, and me and the drummer had a bass/drum solo jam. I think that was the deciding factor in my favor. Simple little riffs that sound killer worked for me. The fact that I picked up on about half of their set within the first hour of a 4 hour jam also worked too.

Looks like I met my New Year's Resolution for last year - and just in time. Get good at bass, and get in a death metal band.

I am SO amped!

No the fact craigslist is so sketchy is because you get pervs and scammers trying to steal the stuff your selling on there. I seriously got some dude who emailed me a pic of his junk when I trying to sell some spare bass gear on there. And never take a check from someone who wrote the check for 500 yet the thing you were selling was 50 and they say keep an extra 100 and then send the rest back via western union...
