Band gone wrong

Sign in to disble this ad
hm let me tell you my little sob story....

well some old friends of mine and i decided to start up a band like a month and a half back...

the singer: one of my best friends
guitarist: a close female friend of mine...AND the girlfriend of
the drummer: ah another friend
see right there we broke a cardinal rule...dont let relationships get involved with bands...hell we took it a step further and brought it into our quartet willingly...

well to give a brief timeline
it took a week for us to actually have our first practice
which only lasted two hours...and we only finished half of a song

our second practice was held two weeks after the first
and it again lasted for two hours with most the members more excited about going to the freaking MOVIES so we only finished about 30 more seconds of that one song....

our third and my final practice with them happened this last friday..another 12 since the first practice and an hour leading up to the practice the guitarist pissed me off to no end over a stupid little detail about how i was going to pick her up to drive her to practice...

let me backtrack on something
in between all those practices the singer has always gotten mad and into fights with the drummer for being a bitch about not wanting to practice that much and its always dissolved into the couple fighting with him and me playing peace maker (slightly more slanted towards the singer admittedly)

well we get to the third practce and i'm pissed so i just sit down and i pretty much did nothing except listen to how the singer was doing because he had a ****** amp, and i just ignored the guitarist the entire time as her and the couple traded whispered conversations in my direction

well after the practice the couple starts talking **** about me online and on the phone to the singer who relayed all of it to me and it culminated in the girl just randomly messaging me online cussing me out...

so today the only thing i really did was text the drummer to tell him to tell his girlfriend to cool it, which he got pissed about...then the singer starts messaging me during work about how they were still talking **** so i message him saying **** it man, i'm out (cuz i had to work and not be bothered...)
well he took it as me wanting to leave the band so thats what he tells them...and voila i am out of the band...

needless to say a lot of drama spread from the incident and the drummer starts talking crap to me after he finds out i left the band online although he'd never say that crap to my face...

sorry just wanted to rant...on a brighter note i'm pretty sure that in the next few weeks ilm going to be forming a band with some other friends of mine, both of him are seriously grade A guitarists well...one of thems like a A+++++

haha some parts of the story explained my band (early days)

When we were on the edge, i sat down with all of the band members and said "let's just drop this, this band isn't working... non of us listen to the same music". We'll next day "hey you guys want to come play?" "yea sure" hehe.

Me and the guitarist formed a new band to play music such as Uriah Heep and Deep purple. But we needed members, then we got our x-keyboard player, x-singer and x-drummer and the same band again and today we are pretty good (as i can tell).

We have been playing for an year now and got about 8 tracks

Diddi lol see it looks like you handled it pretty well with your band though...nobody in the band handled it well at all...so i doubt i'd ever form another band with them (except maybe the singer)

ah it was a hardcore/metalcore band anyway, i dont even really listen to that type of music except for like three bands...

Bad

Our guitarist left the band this week because he just couldn't find himself in rock music anymore
