I've done that exact thing, except I was just trying to take the bass off. Those things are a lot weaker than you'd expect.

'Twas funny!
I shared this with the wife, and she said: "what's this all about?"
Buddy was just mumbling somefink, so I said: "wait for it".....SMASH!!!
I laughed again.
Her take was : "that's stupid, why do people do that?"
I explained what he was trying to do, and she still thinks it's stupid.
She may be right...

Not quite a full on bass spin, as he spins along with the bass. But it looks pretty damn cool. 1:53 - 1:56.

I've only tried spins a few times and made sure i had darn good strap locks and an inexpensive bass. it helps to have your bass a little higher too, less chance of it veering off course

Funny thing is I have done this in a practice space, AKA drummer's basement. Got to a real rocking point of a song and smoked the light with the headstock of my bass. It actually burnt part of my headstock
