After 5-10 minutes or so, I find I really have to go sit and ponder what I've just played. I have to admit it. I stink.

Well that's the point of learning and constantly practicing. We all have had moments of playing and realizing that at that point in time, we really suck, so we practice and learn to get better.

There was one point where I had problems following even basic chord changes during praise and worship. You don't have to slap like Flea, or play funky grooves like Jamerson to consider yourself good. Don't worry about the fancy fills and bottom shaking grooves, those will come with experience.

So practice, study, have fun, and don't let it get you down.

That's happened to me a few times. Especially if I am standing in front of my rig and cranking it more than necessary to practice.

Simple solution-just avoid playing "the brown note."

Yeah it really tends to loosen things up and get the system flowing.
