I'd like a number!

The bass and sacred heart was my first tattoo, now part of a music themed sleeve.

And if anyone cares to see the rest of them:

Here's 1st bass-related tattoo that I got last year for my bday. Seen some awesome work in this thread, inspired to get another one!

I'd love a number too please.

I really dont want to come across as a wimp but i've always wondered what getting a tatoo feels like.
Ps. I really want a bass clef on my right shoulder and a treble clef on my left shoulder.

Here's a pretty decent read with some good info, and the author hits the mark pretty good with descriptions: Tattoos - How much Do They Really Hurt

Getting tattooed isn't really as painful as people seem to think, IMO. It's definitely not pleasant (unless maybe you're a masochist? lol), but it's not really that bad. For the most part, my 3/4 sleeve didn't give me too much trouble. There were a couple spots that were definitely more painful... The top of my shoulder (because there's no flesh there) and the inside of the elbow (called the "ditch"... apparently one of the most tender spots for tattoos on the body) and under arm area.

This tattoo took roughly 20 hours, broken up into five 4-hour sessions... My tattooist would start finishing up around the 3hr 45min mark because he could tell that was my threshold. We did push one session to 4hrs 15min though.

On a related note, needles give me the creepy crawlies and I don't have any trouble getting tattooed. It's not a phobia for me though, I just can't watch. lol

5sg.
