I actively and strongly hope, which maybe borders on prayer, that my strap doesn't come undone, that all my cables work right, that none of my gear craps out on me, that my strings don't break, that I don't make any bad mistakes, and that my bandmates have the same good fortune. And maybe that I meet someone cute who's at the venue. But these hopes are not directed toward any supernatural entity.
