I wear my wedding ring on my left hand. I've never found it to get in my way when playing.

When my wife was alive (and for a few years after), the only time I removed my wedding ring was when it was dangerous to wear, e.g., when operating power tools; wearing a wedding ring (on my left hand) never interfered with my playing, whether I was playing electric bass or double bass.

Watch Entwistle playing My Generation on the Smother's Brothers Show. He's got finger bling out the wazoo.

It's from the movie The Kids Are Alright.

I don't wear any rings, watches, etc. when I play. They bother me, and it feels like they get in the way.

My hubby doesn't wear any rings either because of his work. He never has in the 27 years we've been together except for special occasions. It doesn't bother me at all.

I wear my wedding rings except when playing, then they go onto my necklace and right back onto my hand when i'm done. I've lost enough weight that they spin and the diamond ends up getting in my way, plus it's distracting.

I do have a music ring my son gave me that i wear on my right pinkie when i play. I wear the neckalce hubby gave me on our 15year anniversary and the turtle totem necklace that i always wear. Plus a bracelet that i've worn since i was 13yo that had to be moved to my other arm about 5 yrs ago because of a side effect of my breast cancer surgeries in 03.

I've got my wedding ring on my left (fingering) hand, where it's been since the day I got married in July 1998. Never interferes with playing the bass.
I also sometimes wear two or three rings on my right hand.

I've actually used a ring that I was wearing on my plucking hand to make some weird, funky slide type effect noises during jams. It's kinda fun!

I wear my wedding ring on my left hand. It gets in the way occasionally, but I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm trying to adjust to it (been married for just over a year). I'm just going to keep trying to adjust to it and we'll see what happens. I know I'd lose it if I took it off, so that's out.

Wedding band and thats it. By day I always wear a watch and I usually wear a silver signet ring on my right hand that was my grandfather's. But not at shows or rehearsal. Not even on the days when I wear the lightweight Casio watch.

Just the wedding band.

Just my wedding ring and it does not get in the way.

Been married almost 10 years and I have taken it off maybe 10 times. It stays on!

Me too. I'm trying to figure out how in the world a wedding band could make a noise on a bass. I need to see some video footage of how these guys are playing! Of course, my theory is that they just want to look single at the gig. Once I read that their rings made noises, I went and picked up my bass. I TRIED to make a noise with my wedding ring and couldn't. What gives?

I wear my wedding band & a large watch (41mm case) with a stainless steel strap. Never had any problems.

The only time my wedding band comes off is during weightlifting (4X/week). I'm not going to risk losing a finger because it snagged on a barbell!

4x a week? You should just get heavier basses. Save you 4 trips to the gym!

I wear my wedding band and occasionally a watch. I cant see how a wedding band could interfere with playing either.

I cannot wear my wedding ring when I play because it is uncomfortable and klonks on the side of the neck. I played bass for 25 years before I got married and to have a ring on my finger while I play just dosen't work.

I totally agree....I play a 7 string and I have definitely tried to wear my wedding ring when I play......but then again it is a thick tungsten ring......

Thanks for the tip! So would that be one heavy bass worn infrequently, or a less heavy bass worn many more times?

That depends on if you are going for size or strength.
